THE COMPETITIONS
Track Meets
HOS athletes compete in Invitationals with upwards of 1,500 athletes per meet, across the DMV including Fairfax County, Prince William County, Loudoun County, Prince George County (MD), and others.
AAU Northern Virginia District & Regional meets typically occur near Richmond; and Nationals can occur anywhere, from coast to coast. VA House of Speed sent over 20 qualifiers to the 2024 Junior Olympics in Greensboro, NC last season, and over 30 athletes to the 2024 Indoor National Championships in Virginia Beach. We also had several athletes qualify for the Nike and the New Balance Nationals Indoor and Outdoor Invitationals.
This year’s 2025 AAU Junior Olympics will be held in Houston, TX.

For our Middle School and High School athletes who qualify, the VA House of Speed will participate June 19-22 in the New Balance Outdoor National Championships in Philadelphia, PA.

Practice Sessions:
Growth requires commitment & time
Locations may change due to availability, school meets, and weather. Notices are pushed to the team via email. Practice typically occurs at: John Lewis HS, Hayfield H.S., West Springfield HS, Lake Braddock Secondary School, or Washington Irving MS.
Inclement Weather
Always check both before leaving for practice. Weather-related announcements will be sent via email and on our GameChanger page. Public School closings will also cancel practice. We will practice in light rain and snow!
